In the spring of 2017 we moved with our office to a new, raw, characteristic and inspiring location; the old Gelderland factory in Culemborg; the same location where the well-known Gelderland furniture was produced, a location that unfortunately had been dilapidated but was given a second life by a collective effort by creative entrepreneurs. In this period, many flexible workplaces and creative breeding grounds arise, sometimes in locations with an industrial destination, sometimes in the form of new buildings; For us as a bureau, the old character of the building was a nice starting point to respond to in the design of our workplace. In terms of materialisation, we opted for materials that are soft but also clear in their design language, such as light felted walls, walls covered with natural birch wood and furniture constructed from a light color palette that creates contrast against the raw, rough factory environment. The Van Besouw 26002 is a beautiful complementary product; the concrete design gave it a liveliness that was not too conspicuous but also gave that accent what we wanted; in terms of color palette, we have opted for the 610, it combines soft blue-gray, with the light olive green, beautiful with the unfiltered, natural materials that we have applied in our office. The result is a wonderful environment to receive our customers and to work.Tanya van Leeuwen, Tanya van Leeuwen Interior Architecture

Architect Erik Wezenberg from Architectenbureau Zenber in Amsterdam collaborated with Broekman Projectstoffering to create the new interior of the Rabobank Utrecht. The fourth floor consists of flexible conference rooms and training areas. To maintain the flexibility of the space, they opted for a cast concrete floor with Van Besouw rugs. These rugs were finished as volume carpets and have been laid tightly against together. A wonderful combination of design, customisation and efficiency.
